Mother Cat Suddenly Moving Baby Kittens From The Nest – Why?

Kittens Video Information:

Odd behaviour: Cat mom Luna surprised me by moving her one week old baby kittens to a tiny basket while I was away! Why did she do it? There’s nothing wrong with the spot that she abandoned – it’s not in a noisy or busy place and I’ve kept it clean. I guess it’s just her instinct to do so, as that’s what feral cats do to protect their kittens. Or maybe it’s because her kittens sometimes try to move to wrong direction and she’s tired of keeping an eye on her runaway children. Well, now they can’t escape, because I finally made a new nest to a cardboard box. I hope the cat mother is happy now πŸ™‚

  1. Newborn kits r so vulnerable.Littermates can have multiple baby daddies. Male Lions on down will murder kits to bring Mom into estrus. Darwinian.

  2. Watch a normal married cats couple with their legitimate offspring… 😻🐱🐈🐈🐈🐈

  3. My cats has started to move the kittens out of the nesting box and into a corner yesterday. But she is moving two at a time, then one. Different ones each time. I don’t know what to do know? She I just let you continue to do that? Maybe move all the kittens to that corner? Make another nesting box and put it over there so she will have 2 in my room. I’m not sure what to do?

  4. What a beautiful mama cat! πŸ’–πŸΎIs she purebred, or is she a domestic house cat? She looks like my late cat Lara, who was a domestic shorthair. And the kittens looks like adorable miniature tiger cubs. The cat I have now is a calico named Luna…..! 🐱

  5. she moved beacuse she did not feel anyting good lyaing in a sofa or cuz she wanted to be near daddy cat so she feel comfy let daddy cat watch and procetion the kittens from any harm,
