Catching one cat will be easy, but I can't see any others going into the trap after that…
Huh! What a very, very busy place it seems. So fun. But I keep remembering this was 7 weeks ago. Couldn't see any comments on how things have gone to date. Must be a real challenge keeping up with it all. I would think your rescue of those beautiful kitties make it a happy challenge.

It was such a joy to see kitten Simba and kitten Splash!! They were so cute as kittens and are handsome cats now. Enjoying the tale of the beautiful outside teen kittens. 💙💙
The kittens have worked out that only one has to go ask for food and Boo is not threatened by Ziggy going to the door. The male kittens are more of a threat with Boo being an Alpha, he needs reassurance that he is still a special Mummy's Boy and loved no matter what is going on. There is still enough love for all the cats.
The trap did not scare the kittens they are exploring their new 'toy' it looks promising for when they have to be trapped. This is all useful information for any of us who need to trap a cat for any reason.
The kitten wanting to explore the garage just shows how easy it can be for a cat to get shut in. If you had not spotted the sneaky boy from now on it is worth checking before shutting the door.
Some of the kittens have really made your gardens their home enjoying the food and patio chairs just as we saw with Boo, Hydrox and Ditto. Little Richard is starting to show his character he is going to be an alpha like Boo.
Cleo is enjoying watching the kittens and sits talking, petting or rubbing against the screen. She does not do this towards little tabby gets jealous when tabby comes near me. Tabby has set up home under the shrubs in the garden where its dry and has made a bed of leaves. It's similar to the little spot Hydrox had except its against the wall. It's raining today and Tabby was curled up in her little spot when I put the food out during a break in the rain.
I love to see happy feral cats and glad to feed them it makes a big difference in their lives. I have work to do with Tabby and Cleo before deciding what to do with them, do I move Tabby in, find a home elsewhere or let her stay an outdoor cat.

I love the idea of using a bit of carpet/runner in the bottom of the trap. I once put a puppy pee pad on the bottom of a trap (for comfort and absorption). By the time I got the cat to the vet the pee pad was shredded 😮 Sometimes we learn by doing 😁
I'm so glad you can take care of them and hopefully get them TNR'd and maybe adopted out. They seem like they might get used to being inside, with someone dedicated, expecting that work. They're taking good steps already getting to know you. I hope it'll all work out. — My own situation is still not resolved, still looks like I'll have to give away my cats and move out and may beat a shelter myself for a while, unless there's drastic progress, unexpected as of yet for months to come. Of it all, I will most miss my cats, That hurts more than the prospect of losing my belongings, books, what-not, and apartment. — I hope to be able to stay in contact with friends online and long-distance, but don't know how it'll turn out. (Weird couple of days, I haven't slept yet, 30+ hours now, and about to head to bed again after this.)
